Life and a Giveaway!

Oh my goodness.....

Hi, I'm here.

I've missed y'all.

These past three weeks have been a complete blur of
total happiness and heartache.

I could write you a novel but I'll spare you.
Plus life is still super full,
so lets bullet point the peaks and valleys shall we?

Babies were born and the Doozie household was on sibling care duty.

Two beautiful healthy babies were welcomed into this world less than a week apart
and two little boys became big brothers for the first time.

Mr. Doozie and I are still recovering for the hub-bub these bundles brought us,
but the honor of being a part of it all was more than worth it!

Our littlest, Jack the mac turned 3!

We had a small fro-yo party with a few of our friends.

Simple and sweet is all this momma could muster right now.
Thankfully, he didn't seem to mind.
(thank you notes will be going out this week, promise)

And then there were the valleys,

Will is battling some sort of allergy and we could use some prayers for our guy.

Blood work has been sent in and we are waiting results.
Nothing breaks a momma's heart more than seeing their child in distress....
So much so I'd rather share this picture of him being a ham for the camera
than the one of him waiting to get his blood drawn.
I'm thankful for the men and women who have figured out how to test blood,
seriously, is that not amazing?

We also have received some updates about our adoption.
Our prayers were answered and India reopened their doors for international adoption!
The unexpected part is that they are only allowing
special needs children to be adopted to foreigners.
Please pray for us, for wisdom and clarity.
A special needs adoption was not on our radar
but more than wanting to add a daughter to our family
we want to follow His path for our lives.
Right now it kinda feels like I need the heavens to open and God to speak audibly to us.
My heart had never felt this much turmoil.
We would like to give an answer to the agency by the end of the month.

The last few weeks have held much more, some you will see spill out on the blog.
But I will say, I'm happy to be back
happy to share life with y'all.

I've been taking time each day to focus on the small stuff,
whether it's reading books with the boys,
or finding beauty in my surroundings.

Spring is around the corner and with that comes,
rebirth, refocus, renewed inspiration.
I'm excited to share in this next season with you
and all that it could bring.

Now for the giveaway!
It's tiny but I just wanted to say
hi, I missed you, happy Wednesday to you!

I ordered two of these adorable porcelain fox drawer pulls from Anthropologie,
but I only used one on the craft hutch!
So one is just for YOU! Which is totally awesome
because they no longer carry them!

  2. Baby Brown has woodlands/fox themed nursery. Need drawer pull.

I like that you are focusing on the small things right now. Think of how small and insignificant we are in this universe...but yet God cares for each one of us. Knows the hairs on our head, the number of our days. All will be well and clear. Love you.

  9. Oh you have been in my thoughts as I read the AWAA India updates. He will make it clear even if it feels like a giant heartache right now. I will be praying for your clarity. And I'll pass on the verse my dad put on my FB mere minutes ago. "I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace: in this world you will have trouble. But take heart: I have overcome the world." John 16:33
